Discipline

Today is all about discipline.

If you’re like me, you enjoy greatness in a lot of forms.

I enjoy great music, one of my favorite bands is a country artist called Midland… and they’re incredible.  Absolute masters of their craft.

I enjoy athletics.  I love seeing people become the best in the world.  Whether its MMA, sprinting at the olympics… I don’t care.

I love seeing people achieve the most they can be.

Why?  Because I know how much insane work, sacrifice and discipline goes into the making of a champion.

The same goes for our students.  Wilson and I are incredibly passionate about helping our students achieve levels of success that they previously thought were impossible….

We’re committed to being the best at helping people create their best lives through business.

It’s a simple mission, but it isn’t easy.  It requires that we find people who are willing to push themselves beyond “normal limits”…

It’s becoming harder and harder because Normal Limits have become abnormally weak.

It’s gotten so crazy that there are people out there who believe that statement alone should come with “trigger warning”

I can’t even say it with a straight face.

If someone needs a trigger warning, I have a hard time taking them seriously.

If you’re not adult enough to hear something unpleasant and go about your day, you’re definitely not going to make it business.

Here is the truth.

There are a lot of wimpy snowflakes out there.

If you don’t agree, you might be the snowflake lol.

They want more money, but aren’t willing to put in more work.
They want more customers, but aren’t willing to create a better client experience.
They want more valuable skills, but aren’t willing to learn them.

You see the pattern?

Success with something like this requires overcoming hard things.  In fact, I’d argue it’s the single most important trait to eventually succeed.  (Notice, I said eventually… I’ll dive more into that later).

So how do you overcome hard things?

Discipline.

Discipline is the key to making yourself bigger than the challenges you face.

So where do you start?

Here are the top 5 most valuable daily habits in my opinion.

  1. Wake up at the same time every day.
  2. Keep your spaces clean
  3. Work out and eat healthily.
  4. Plan your days BEFORE they start
  5. Prioritize your actions based on your goals

These 5 simple habits will dramatically change your life.

They’ll give you more energy, make you more efficient, more confident and more effective.

Fundamental habits are the building blocks of your success.  And discipline is the fundamental building block of your habits.

Jim Rohn once said “There are two types of pain you will go through in life: the pain of discipline and the pain of regret. Discipline weighs ounces, while regret weighs tons.”

Which will you choose?

Steven Jordan

P.S.
Start with 1 habit a time if you’re struggling. Even something as simple as making your bed every day can have a dramatic effect.
